Open Water Swimming

You can find us swimming at a variety of open water locations such as Leybourne Lakes, the picturesque Minster Leas, River Stour at Grove or Walpole Bay Tidal Pool (among other locations) during the warmer months.
We typically swim on an ad-hoc basis, depending on demand and member availability, between May and September depending on the water temperature.

Open water swim induction is required prior to any swimming which can be arranged contacting any of the Club Coaches.  For insurance purposes, club open water sessions are only available to Club members.
These sessions are used to practice open water skills such as drafting, sighting, mass start, deep water start, swimming in close proximity of other swimmers, and how to deal anxiety and race conditions.
